How long should it take to replace pads and discs?
Chaps
I have been told by a garage that it will take 3 hours labour to replace two brake discs and a set of handbrake pads. All in all they are charging me 650 euro. It just doesnt sound right. Can anyone advise before I commit financial suicide?
Cheers

googsy,
3 hours is a loada rubbish.
they are easy to change and ive done all mine in under 1 and half hours. For a garage with ramps etc and the tools to hand it should take less time
pads cost about £80 (for 4 wheels) from TLO
EDIT
Didnt read the the post properly. The EPB shoes and the subsequent setup will take a little longer than 1.5 hours. maybe an extra 1.5 hours
you can still do it yourself for a lot less. see the post in the maintenance section http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/topic25409.html?highlight=Duncan
