It's a usb interface for the satnav touch screen, with a bypass so that the touch screen still works when it's not active. I.e. without a 12v supply the 4-wire interface goes straight to the satnav controls, with the 12v turned on the signals are diverted to the USB thing that (with the appropriate driver installed) will control a computer.
I'm getting shot of it because I could never find a vga interface for the satnav screen, and I wasn't happy with the quality of a composite signal from the computer.
The high price reflects the hours of (my father's) effort in soldering the little push connectors that go into the satnav screen. If it sells I'll be giving him the cash, because he did the hard work.
