Total Suspension Failure
Well it's happened. After months and months of the dealer not being able to sort out the problem where my D3 sinks to Access height after being stood for a few hours, my D3's suspension has given up.
Just joining the Motorway at about 60mph last night and a couple of 'bongs' and a yellow light appeared on the dash along with a flashing message stating 'Suspension Failure'. Then it became apparent that the vehicle had no adequate suspension as every bump or even cat's eyes were causing it to 'buck and bump' like an oscilating American Gas Gusler on Sunset Strip.
Got home, but felt decidedly sea-sick. Stopping at a junction caused the vehicle to rock back and forth on the spot, until the motion eventually died down.
Phoned dealer, who miraculusly had received in the parts to fix my D3 this morning (I phoned at 8:05, so they did a very quick stock check). Amazed at the coincidence really, I mean it has been weeks since I heard anything about how they were going to fix the sinking suspension, then when I phone them they've got the parts there. Wow. Interested to see if those parts will fix the suspension failure issue.
Waiting for LRA to recover my D3 and take it to the Dealers. If they try and give me a Ford Fiesta there will be serious questions asked, the main one being - "do you mind me tying a 3 seater setee to the roof when I move it tomorrow". Coffeecup

Sorry to hear its gone, hope you are up and running sooner rather than later.
If you're really lucky you might get a focus or mondeo, or even a freeloader, which I have had the displeasure of driving for the past three weeks

LRA have just left. The compressor fuse has blown. Suspected due to overloading the compressor, which would be down to the extra load of fighting the leak maybe. Fuse changed for the moment, which might last long enough to get off my drive, or across to the dealers (hopefully the latter).
Still waiting to find out what the replacement car will be for my D3. Coffeecup

LRA spent all day trying to find me a car. Was offered a Ford Focus, or equivalent.... but I rejected (would have preferred the Dealers Freelander, and that's saying something).
I'm driving my D3 to the dealers tomorrow (Friday), and have been promised a Large Estate Car, as I have a busy couple of days moving large objects around (Oh, a D3 would do that without any problem).
Watch this space regarding loan car (from LRA).
As for the work tomorrow at the Dealers. Apparently today they have ordered in everything they can think of for my Suspension and will work through the vehicle until it's fixed - both the sinking and whatever caused the Compressor Fuse to blow last night. Have a feeling I'll be stuck with the loan car for the weekend, as they will want my D3 for a while to see if it sinks, or fails again (at least overnight). Coffeecup

Because youy like water so much CC, have you suggested they fill the suspension system with water, may work better.
