Any chance of improving the way you find a member? It seems there are 115 pages of members, and no easy way to find one. They can be listed alphabetically, or by number of posts etc, but short of going through page by page, there's no easy way to find someone.
I tried to find myself, just as a test, but gave up after a few pages. I need to find a member now, beginning with t, so I now need to scroll through all the pages until I reach the t's.
Can we have some more search options? A search box where I could type all or part of the username which would return close matches. or maybe an alphabet search, so I can just click on T and it puts me to the start of the t's like on other indexes. The current one just offers the first 3 pages and the last 3, and an option to jump, if I should happen to know which page I need!
Not a complaint, just feedback. Thanks for all you do! D3 TDV6 HSE 2008 Buckingham Blue (current)

Use the site search using the option " Posts by" or "Threads by ".

Yeah I know what you mean, no easy way of geting to a member profile without finding something they've posted.
I tend to go to the Private Messages section and start typing in the name of the member, it then gives you a list & then select from there. You can then get to the members profile. Bodsys Brake Bible

OK, you can't get the profile from there, but if you send them a PM & then go to your outbox, you can. Then delete the PM if you need. Bodsys Brake Bible

Well the arcane ways to find a member bid for an easier way.
I was trying to find a certain member starting with t as well last week... started from members list and that's also where the search function should be IMHO. Ended up using Discowex' solution.

Or do what I do if you have no saved messages from a member you are trying to find. Go to Private Messages, select NEW PM, and type the the name (or what you think is), and the PM name search will list the forum members for you

Thanks for all the comments - I know that the member search is poor (i.e. non-existent) and I will look at ways of improving it.
