Advise needed 😢

Hi all.
Hoping for a bit of advise.
Jumped in the D3 2.7 auto to go shopping.
Started up and heard a clunk.
Reving fine ticking over but have hardly any power in 1st. Once changes up in drives normal.
I’m no mechanic but no fault codes.
Just before Christmas as well 🤦‍♂️ Crying or Very sad

Hi Jong, deffinately need the codes, the Autel would be sufficient to buy, alternatively, if you can make it here I could read them and take a look for you.

Apart from the clunk, it sounds like it could be egr’s, when moving off what are the revs like? Are they getting over around 1200 initially? Is the car wanting to not move, or really struggling to move when you pull away?

You said once in second it’s fine, what happens if you stop at lights and start off again, same issue, or just on initial start up?

Hi Kevin, thanks for the reply.
I now have a Autel on the way so will check when that comes.
No errors on dash though.
Seems to rev ok although maybe fractionally slower. Every time I pull off it’s the same. Idling fine at the normal 900 ish. It’s not refusing to move just very slow at it so struggling I guess. Like I said, gets to 2000 ish rpm and changes up then drives fine

+1 on the brakes, could be a sticking calliper. Did it just start doing it?

Parking brake?

Be careful if you drive.. if stuck, they can become very hot at the rear… dangerously hot
Easy to feel… tip: make your finger wet first..

Hey Jong, did you manage to read the codes or find the issue?

Autel arrived yesterday. Attached what I think is the scan. Started him up and now EML is on.
Now what? 😢

EGR failure nothing to do with a "clunk", did you do a full scan of all the modules?

Erm, not too sure. Think I just pressed scan so will have a read up and see if there is another option later.
What solution for egrs?
