Can U Check How Much- Transmission Oil |
|
Hi All
As there seems to be a few of us thinking about or likely to be doing a transmission flush on the our auto box to solve the slight juddering experienced, wonder whether you guys might get chance to speak to your local LR dealer parts dept to find out how much they would sell 11 litres of the stuff. Would help to co-ordiniate everyone in their respective search
I'll start, T.H WHITES, Swindon £13.54 plus vat per litre
ps we might end up with a group buy

yep and TLO could'nt match previously but I'm sure he might now
In all honestly, please do ask your local LR dealership as there are likely to be quite a few of us that will suffer this annoying gremlin

This box has been around for a few years in many Ford Company and VW Company products.
There are even generic oils here for it ;
http://www.penrite.com.au/files/WKHG1OTRK2/ATF%20DX6.pdf
Now down to less than 5 Quid a litre.
The Stateside LR3 guys have several choices too.
Google around UK sites ........ don't get fleeced at a LR Dealer.

Just spoke to Penrite Technical and they say that the ATF DX-VI is NOT suitable for ZF boxes, only GM products The info on that sheet refers to SHELL M-1375.4 which is in our handbook but not our gearboxes and the Fords mentioned have the earlier 4 speed. The date on that sheet is 2006. You must use SINATF 2013 D4, E-diff, Vision pack

Garry
Penrite have just assured me that their oil is suitable for our model.
We have the same tranny as the 6 speed territory which they use.
They have a new oil which is a bit thinner than what i used
that gives slightly smoother gear changes
when the vehicle is cold. Pete
