Aftermarket window tinting |
|
My D3 currently has the standard clear windows and I really fancy having the rear passenger / tailgate windows tinted. I am a bit nervous about the idea of having film applied to the windows due to peeling / damage / bubbles. I was wondering if anybody has had this done, and whether it is recommended. Any problems experienced?
Thanks

There was a group buy run not so long back by 90bhp, ISTR there were lots of happy customers.
I also know that some LR dealers apply the film/subbie it out to the local outfit.
cheers

Had the tints done on mine prior to collecting it from the dealer. Work was carried out by Pentagon Glass, which i think is a nationwide concearn, try googling them.
The application seems spot on, no creases, crinkles or air bubbles, so all in all happy with their workmanship. ATB

I had my D3 done in December a day or two after collection. £275 for tints to rear or B pillar and Clear SUPAGLASS on the fronts. That is a thicker film which protects against smash'n'grab raids. seems very effective.
I've had Pentagon do three cars now and there hasnt been a problem at all. as long as they know what they are doing i wouldn't be scared of it.

Pentagon is a franchise, who use a standard mid range film, branded as their own.
Like all these thinks go with locally recommended people or if you want to travel - Ben has done a good job for a large number of people on here "To finish first, one first has to finish ...."
