My D3 is off for its 45,000 mile service tomorrow, although it has done 46,780 miles. No problems apart from a horrible noise when the park brake is applied. I think it may be the park brake motor.
There is a message on the dash saying that an oil service is due and how many miles it is over due. This only shows on start up for a few seconds. In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

They are keeping my car as it needs new park brake components. I should get it back tomorrow. In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

They disabled my service indicator as it apparently does not work correctly... 
Are your PB components covered under warranty ?

If its fair wear and tear I doubt it, but I think it is the motor or whatever the motor drives to engage the brake.
The first time it occurred I was in a garage refuelling, the noise was so loud even the people in the shop heard it and looked out to see what it was.
Imagine a 9†angle grinder cutting a metal sheet, an impact wrench tightening nuts and someone trying to start a car that’s already running then amplify the noise 10 fold.
The dash display informed me that there was a problem with the park brake “No Sh*t Sherlockâ€.
I half expected to be stuck on the forecourt, however the car allowed me to drive away with an amber warning on the dash. It then happened when I stopped 10 minutes later on site. The car was parked for about an hour and on my return the fault had disappeared.
I was in Leeds at the time and had a fair way to travel home, as you can imagine I did not stop on the way. In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.
