There was an early issue with tanks...
They have 2 senders in seperate parts of the tank and when they were made some jammed causing incorrect fuel readings.
it would be a bit strange if yours was affeted by this so far down the timeline but could be an idea to ask them to check GTR for chassis number inclusionTLO has left the building.......
I no longer work for a Landrover Dealer
My little chilli sauce business http://www.thechillees.co.uk
if you would like to order anything just give me a shout
I wal told that some have come adrift after knocks to the tank, but I have no major dents in the shielding or anything.
At over AUD$150 for the flange seal just to have a look, I don;t want to have toi drop the tank if I can avoid it.
Going to perth for Chrissy so I might have to wait until then.Have a nice day!

Had a look at an 07 plate model, ran out of fuel because the dash said it still had half a tank...
And its not the first either

Over the past few months I've also been having intermittent problems with the fuel gauge
From a more-or-less full tank the gauge will start to drop towards empty over an hour or so
Just this morning I was having a coffee in the firms car park was suddenly alerted by a 'bong' showing the fuel had gone to empty (the gauge dropped from 3/4 full) in just a minute or so.
Time for a visit to the dealer?? Is this a common (known) problem?

Not tested DTC
Jamo,
The list you have re produced is for Not Tested DTC's
This is not the same as a list of fault codes found by the system.
it is a list of faults for which the system tests have not been carried out yet.
in other words the system does not know if a fault exists for these codes as it has not tested for them yet.
it is all explained in your systems help pages. in fact you might want to look on line as i have recently updated the explanation of ISO 14229 DTC handling quite a lot.
warmest regards

hi guys if its the rear sender at fault (find someone with IDS and use real time data to find which one) you can easily replace it but if its the front one you need a full tank, unless your arm has 5 elbows. RICH

Sorry it's in Dutch and with google translator it gets funny.
Yep for the record I have just had the same problem with faulty fuel guage which cost me a flat deck tow to the nearest civilisation and an extra night's accomodation as well as the computer time to tell me the thing had run out of gas. In NZ we have consumer law which has a phrase "fit for use....". I would suggest that a fuel guage that fails after 3 years is NOT fit for use.Near enough 40 degrees South!!!
