Replacement Halogen low beam bulbs

Typically, a bulb goes this morning, before popping off to my local dealer for a replacement, any advice on whether there is a brighter/better alternative available through Halfords or equivalent or are the LR ones as good as you can get? Don't try to follow me, you wont make it!!

I had the philips Xtreme, until both dipped beams blew on me at the same instant one morning. Very good while they lasted, but 10 months of low usage Shocked , not long enough IMHO.
