Rovertym Announces LR3 Front Bumper!
They finally did it! It's for sale! Now we can all be like our beloved Tami (Sideview) and sport one of these beefy bumpers! Check it out on LRL's blog, posted today.

I anticipate we will see SafariGard's new bumpers for the LR3 very soon as well. It's awesome to finally see so much activity in the aftermarket mfr's for the LR3/Disco3!

Very American.
Beefy and IMO ugly.
I like the recovery points on the front. Illegal here as the stick out like the cross bar.
They'll help a lot if you hit a deer. I think it only help a bit if it was a moose. “There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

I agree with you
I think a roo strike would flatten it and unless postage is free I think you may as well just put this in the NA section

I just noticed it looks as if the wheel arches have been left intact. Doesn't help it look.
nwoods, is that the wheel arches hanging below the bar? Is that how they are supposed to be installed?“There are only three sports: bullfighting, motor racing, and mountaineering; all the rest are merely gamesâ€

1. Don't shoot the messenger
2. This is a prototype unit, hand made and if I were to guess, mounted here for alignment and verification purposes only.
3. Yes, I think the wheelwell liners are still in place on this prototype unit. I'm sure the photo was taken the moment it was mounted, and not in final config yet. note the absence of lights, winch, etc.... I'm sure step 2 is to trim the bits where needed.
4. Note the improved approach angle by seeing how much wheelwell liner needs to be trimmed!
5. I am a Big Ugly American, and this units aesthetics are not even inline with my own sense of style. I also feel the ARB is too hulking and disproportionate to the lines of the LR3.
6. RoverTym products are sold all over the world.
7. The hulkyness of the ARB and RT bumpers is surely due to the large radiator on the LR3/Disco3 that hangs way down low. I think it will be interesting to see how SafariGard's bumper looks in a few weeks when it comes out. Not sure if they are making a lower profile version like most of their line-up of LR bumpers, or if the basic needs for protection limit anyone's bumper design into being fairly beefy.
Its exciting to see options being produced!

No thanks, really dates the D3 IMO.
Takes away all the vertical & horizontal design lines.
It gives it the looks of a Mk1 ....not for me!...... always on the road less travelled 🚧
