Disco3's now got 6k miles on it, got used to a more or less contant 28mpg on runs and 24 round town, greenlaning would drop to 22 - ish but build back up on the run home.
So why is it now hovering around 20 yep, got a roofrack on but this is on the run home last night at 70-75 and round town this morning with no traffic queues. I reset the counter twice and it still settles around the 20 mark has something broke?
Last long run with the rack on returned 26. something

Where did you fill up last? was it cheapo fuel? perhaps a fuel station you dont normally use. I have found that lower grade fuel will effect the MPG. In the Beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Hey TFC, I had the same promble a couple of nights ago - saw 20 mpg - then it went horribly wrong from there - I woke up.

A V8 in TDV6 clothing... ya never know - I've heard stories on this site about miss badging and.. well, ?
Being serious for a min (yes, it IS possible), have you noticed any change in engine noise or performance - seems like too big a swing to be just an anomoly? On my old D2 (diesel) I had a restricted fuel line caused by dirty fuel contaminants (although the technician said cheap) and this surprisingly caused havoc with the MPG for a bit - cleared after they fiddled with some "actuator". Yep, there was a headwind, although the MPG hasn't changed back to the normal 'urban' despite two resets of the mpg-o-meter
looks like a snotogram to BP tomorrow then
