I looked at this dealer but the p/ex they offered me was nowhere near what Williams Manchester did - or they would have had a deal, would be interested to see what 'accessory' bargains may be had though ! D4 HSE....Probably, but not quite decided yet.

Same story as n1ck, p.ex on td5 was nearly insulting - went to williams also.....which now appears to be our 'local' dealer!!!

I tried James Edwards at St. Helens when I was looking for s/h.
Simple I thought - Silver / SE or HSE / Black Leather / Auto - upto £XXXXX.
Besides offering me almost a negative value on the trade-in (usual gag - no one wants a 4X4 Sir...), I was offered, at least once a week, the 'car you're looking for' except that it'd be an S model, cloth seats, every colour but silver.......
I bought from Shukers who at least listened and negotiated with me.
I did think of supporting JE with servicing - but quoting an extra £100+ over everyone else was taking the urine.
Hate to be cruel at this time but you really can't ignore the customer - we're not always right but at least don't assume we're always wrong. I see no ships........

They charged me £15 to change a rear light bulb!!
So I don't understand how they can go out of business with all the profit they made from me? ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

I had not one, but three good reasons.
1] Had my black suit n white shirt on [yes I do scrub up].
2] Noticed the bulb failure earlier in the day & didn't want pulled by the police.
3] D3 has light guards and I didn't have allen key to get them off.
take your pick ...... always on the road less travelled 🚧

That's a shame I bought my D3 from Lookers Hadleigh and despite some of the other comments I got fantastic sevice from Niel Garson. They bought the car down the Southampton and I asked them to fix a few things and put new tyres on as well as a full service. A week later they delivered it back with everything done as promised with no fuss. They even let me know I overpaid as I forgot about the £1000 deposit I had put down. A few weeks later I had a EPB fault which Land Rover refused to pay and Lookers agreed to pay my local dealer to fix it.
I feel sorry for the people who lost their jobs, especially that close to Christmas.
