More Battery Woes - LR Warranty to the Rescue? |
|
Bought my used motor from a main stealer in October 07 when it was just over 2.5 years old.
They gave me a 1 year proper LR warranty and LR Assistance to commence when the normal 3 year warranty expired on 05/03/08. This extended warranty will therefore expire on 05/03/09.
My battery is on its way out. Starts 1st turn of the key but I'm getting HDC error messages quite often and sometimes I get what seems like fuel starvation for about 30 seconds after starting.
I've read other posts on here confirming that batteries have been replaced under warranty (within the 3 year warranty).
Is there any chance that they will replace mine within its 4th warranty year?
If not, what are the recommendations for sourcing a replacement via internet mail order. I'm in the process of booking a 4th annual service but may not use LR Yeovil so Nick's discount on a replacement LR battery would be wiped out by courier charges.
