Mine's , new one being fitted on Monday (under warranty).
Front fog lights also not working, dealer reckons it's a "wire" and not covered under warranty? Knowledge & Reason - the arch enemy of faith

the 'wire' is a common fault and IS covered under warranty. It falls down and then rubs against the bodywork, causing it to short out! Bodsys Brake Bible

No, but your car has a three year warranty, generally the only things that aren't covered are consumable items.
i.e. brake pads/disks/fluid
filters - air/fuel/pollen/oil
tyres
bulbs (thats if it's the std bulbs, xenons should be covered)
Fuel!!
Any electrical fault/wiring etc should be covered unless you caused the fault (What you say, by DRIVING IT!!!). Not sure what drugs the dealer took that day........ Bodsys Brake Bible

Yep just checked the warranty section of the manual and called LR Customer Services in UK (08705 00500) and the nice chap there (Andy) spoke to his manager and she confirmed that this is a warranty issue and should be fixed free of charge.
Of course, I was not too smug when informing my dealer. Knowledge & Reason - the arch enemy of faith

Thanks Bodsy, is there any where that has a detailed list of what is covered under warranty?
The factory warranty is comprehensive with some exclusions as detailed above, so if it isn't excluded, its covered.
Extended and aftermarket warranties differ in that mostly they are defined cover where a component has to be named to be covered, ie everything is excluded except what is stated.
So factory warranty and wiring fault = covered, slap the dealer with a wet fish until they see sense! Cheers
