You have just done exactly the same thing yourself with this post. Why post this at all, it has no relevance to the thread.
If you don't get along, why not PM each other to sort it out.
To be honest you just got me doing exactly the same thing

Well, what can I say. After day 1 the difference is amazing, and if I knew it would be like this I would have done ages ago. The D3 feels alive with no hesitation or lag. I am off for a play tomorrow with some moderate motorway cruising so will have a more informed answer on economy tomorrow.
So far so damn good

Hi Pete,
Uploading the tuned map was easy (even for a thicko like me!).
Result....Magic!
So much nicer to drive. Dead smooth, and much more torquey.
Thanks again for your assistance and reassuring emails.

Today I did a measured journey that resembles my work route, ie Hastings to North Kent and back. Now my MPG has increased to 30mpg average. Now that does'nt seem alot in comparison as I was regularly reaching 30-33mpg using the switchable mode on Autobox. But that was also before the Expo rack and MTR's. So with this BAS remep, not only have I gained a very responsive D3, but also some of the MPG I had lost bolting on the toys.
Very very happy customer.

Pete,
Is the development of re-map an evolving/iterative process?...that is to say....is it possible that once you have one of these interface devices then future upgrades and enhancements to the mapping process will be possible?
..and once one has the interface and the relevant re-map file(s) then one can remove and insert the standard and re-maped versions with impunity as many times as you wish?

I can answer the second question, just returned mine back to Standard , the box Pete supplies, once you have uploaded the file returned to you as TUNED, it will be programmed in the box alongside the Standard version. So basically you can change back n forth as many times as you like, without the stealer knowing.
Unless your dealer is also a forum member like mine

Hi
Yes you are correct in both.
EG if your dealer reflashes your car to a newer version of mapping to repair a LR error or enhance a particular thing in the engine for some reason, then yes the tool is upgradable to this new maping ONLY IF you return the car to standard before the dealer updates it.
If the car is left in a performance state then the tool is locked to what would be the old software and this will cause problems.
Yes you can also swap maps as many times from original to tuned as many times as you wish with no extra cost.
Once the tool is set up then the mapping is on there for ever.
The main thing i wouls stress is that its important to return the car to standard before any dealer visits even if only for a bulb fitting to save any problems later.
The process only takes a few mins so prevention of a problem is better than a cure.
