OK, and can I buy that from you with remap etc? And does it come with good instructions? I quite like the idea of not having to pay a garage every time a fault comes up. I've not used anything like this before, but with good instructions almost anything is possible.
Does the faultmate work throough a computer or is it entirely standalone? (as seen in some youtube videos)
Also, what would is cost?
Thanks for getting back to me.

The MSV2 and remap are available from Blackbox soloutions via their online shop, i dont stock this item. Support for the tool is via a dedicated forum.

Whoah
Had a look, maybe I better stay clear of that, not sure I want to be messing around with the tuning myself. I was maybe just a bit too ambitious.
How does the capability of the BAS interface compare to the faultmate FCR
I'll maybe just get your magic box and see if I can get the other stuff done sometime when I'm on the mainland. Likely be enough to be able to reset fault codes for the time being, (hopefully I won't have any) without having to go into changing settings.
How do I best proceed???
Thanks for your patience, I feel I am near the bottom of a very steep learning curve.

Hi Pete,
I would like to improve the low end torque when towing and hopefully get some improvement in the poor mpg when towing (My trailer weighs 2.5t and the wallet really notices...). I would also like a map for optimised solo touring.
Would this be best achieved with two separate maps, or would the towing map suit solo bimbling around the country lanes leaving the motorway cruising for when I'm solo?
In earlier posts, you have indicated that an additional two slots are available in your box. Is there a charge for a second map and can this be applied at a later date?
Lastly, what is the current price and availability for a MY06 compatible box?

Hi Pete
Decided to go for your BAS Remap Interface for use on my 58 D3 TDV6.
Is it still £519 via the Forum?
And is it best to then call you next week to buy?
Thanks very much.

Pete,
Can I just confirm I understand this correctly, with this item I am able to upload a new remap to my vehicle and also read and reset most faults within the D3. I understand that this item is unfortunatly not able to update the car configuration data? (but this can be done by somebody with a mulit vehicle faultmate unit?). Can you also tell me if I would be able to use this item to also read the faults on my friends D3 (I know it would only be licenced to upload a remap to one vehicle), but would like to be able to at least read/reset his faults as well, and all this for only £519

Hi Pete. Interface and remapp looks verrrry interesting.Best have the EGR's blanked?? I seem to remember though that remap plus intercooler upgrade is the way to go. What are your thoughts? and do you know who does an uprated D3 intercooler.

Hi
The egrs in my opinion are worth blanking on pre 07 cars even if it's to prevent a problem that may happen later. The intercooler for sure will help the car breath and help it get cooler air for sure as the standard cooler is generally bad. The best and I think only place to get a D3 cooler is from Allisport.

Hi Pete. Info appreciated. will look fr intercooler, just noticed below the photos on your initial post it says 'B-A-S Remap Interface giving you control over your remap,
Available for the D3/D4 & RRS Nav entry on the move, 4x4 Info Screen, Voice activation, Xenon & corner light enabling, Paddle shift, Timed Climate, Cruise control and more.
Does the interface you are offering do all the above? I have HSE so some are already available

No, the bas remap interface is read/write remap giving you control, read/clear fault codes on D3 ONLY.
