Well I'm going ot have a problem then.... because I've never had a standard map... it was already mapped by another company before BAS did theirs...Pete knows this mind you.
Mine went in the other day, with BAS map loaded, and when it came out the sysem had been re-set, so I'm assuming they re-flashed something... anyway..plugged interface in and presto... re-loaded BAS map no problem. 57 RRS TDV8

from what I can gather the interface will see your initial remap as its standard map and will be locked onto that. resetting the system doesnt neccessarily mean anything was flashed. mine used to be reset at every service, something to do with a standard check using IDS so the dealer stated , others to clarify.

Hi
Sorry ive only just seen this post, and not actually read it all as yet for wanting to post a fast answer.
Ok, if you cant return your car to the BAS BOX standard, even if that is not standard in the case of AWD man.
And the dealer does a update that changes the software revision and some other stuff that i cant speak about for security reasons, then when you try and reload the tuned file the box will display a message stating the software on the box and the car do not match and wont let you program the tune back.
In that case under normal circumstances the box is dead, or that is at least how i class it because it may not be recoverable because of the differences in software.
Now i know in the flat batterys case you dont have this option to return to standard because you have no power so you can only hope the dealer does not flash it.
If this does happen and you cant return the car to standard and the box is locked out becaise of a software issue i would TRY to help recover the box IF i had the car and the box at my workshops, recovery can not be done over emails.
however and i say this in the nicest way i possibile can, ultimatly i cant be held responsible for the loss of BAS locked out hardware because i dont have the responsibility of thebattery failure.
As said i dont mean this ignorantly but i cant warrant all your car for every occasion to cover the box but ill try my hardest to recover it for free where possibile, and as said that MUST be in my workshops only and not over email.

They must have not flashed the engine ecu if the BAS map loaded ok , it may have had a car reset from another module programming or simlar.
The main thing is you did as you should have done "i think", and returned your car to what the BAS box classes is original which in your case as you say was already tuned.

Unnecessary quote removed
Hello Pete,
Re: BAS remapping interface
This sounds good I would like to order one for my Disco 3 (190 bhp) as well.
But I have a question: What options are avaiable in power/torque settings?
Thanks in advance.
I.B.
