YEOVIL LAND ROVER 30K service fri 6 2 2009
Report on Yeovil LR Dealership 6/ 2 /2009.
Our D3 was due for a 30K service so I thought I would try the site sponser!....Contacted (The Big One) Nick via private message, first and he arranged for Service to contact me and book a date.
Douglas From Service contacted me by phone to make arrangements and detail what work was needed.
Price was £340 inclusive.
The Big One also arranged for a discount on parts needed as brakes required attention.
Nick arranged for a Freelander 2 courtesy car for a few hours while our D3 was being serviced.
Marks out of ten?
well In all honesty has to be ten from me....for the following reasons:-
1. Very friendly and helpful towards us on arrival.
2. All booked in and expected on arrival, courtesy car waiting...
3 SWTSMBO started looking at the showroom vehicles and within TWO min's was approached by salesman and asked if she required help!! -that's a first for her at a LR dealership...-our local dealers usually ignore her!!!
4. Doug from service rang during morning to keep us updated as to progress etc.
5. Our car was handed back cleaned and washed (and it needed a wash to!!) paperwork was all ready and a sheet for some warranty work that would be needed was given to us.
Sorry missed you today
Poxy weather everything up
Thanks for the biccy'sTLO has left the building.......
I no longer work for a Landrover Dealer

My local dealer now quote over £500 for a 30K service
Double than it was last time for the 1st D3.

Hi The Large one! Nick
yes pity we missed you... Glad the biccys found their way to u Hope SWMBO got the right ones?
Thanks for organising service, courtesy car etc..
Simon.
may I suggest (and indeed now recommend!) a trip down the M6/M5 to Yeovil??
lol worked out cheaper for us even adding fuel and overnight stay than using local dealer!
Luckily due to the snow SWTSMBO was unable to go shopping!!!! thus saving ME even more money!!!!
PS what was all the fuss about down west about a tiny bit of white stuff????? made it there n back in the D3 with no worries or probs!
couldnt help smiling as we drove past all the slow /stuck cars/vans encountering problems in the snow!!!
I must have just missed you. I got to Yeovil at 13:00 for my 15,000 mile service. Excellent as usual
The car was booked in for late Friday for collection Saturday am, but at short notice my plans changed and I asked if they could perhaps slot me in earlier for a "while you wait". Doug was only too happy to help and had my car turned around in under 2 hours, washed (in sub zero temps, top job) and the inside given a going over. Also picked up some wiper blades from TLO who'd managed to get in by then and collected TFC's snow chains and spacers, which Nick had been guarding for me this last week.
Yeovil I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Yaugher, until 10:30 I thought I was going to be there for around 16:00, so very last-minute change of arrival time.I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.
