Drive difference between 18" and 19" rims/tires? |
|
So due to budget concerns, it looks like if I'm going to get in the disco 3 (us version) at all, it would have to be the SE trim. I'm over losing the stereo and since I will add navigation and the xenons to the SE, all else I'm losing are the rims.
How will that affect my ride?? I test drove the SE and felt like it was swimming a little, not much grip (I'm coming out of a bmw 330i sedan)
Any ideas if the 19" rims improve my handling?
thanks deciding on LR3....

This are the different options tire/rim wise:
7J x 17 - Alloy 235/70 R17H - All terrain 111
8J x 18 - Alloy 255/60 R18H or V - All terrain 112
8J x 19 - Alloy 255/55 R19H or V - All terrain 111
18" has 60 profile and 19 have 55 profil.
So just a litle bit more rubber on the 18"
I think the 18" comes with wrangler HP tires that are " " handling wise
Mine 19" came with Pirelli scorpio zero high preformance tires that are much
better onroad but not recommende for offrad use!
I think the 18" thats called style 2 with spoke design looks better than the 19"
I use mine 19" with Wrangler ultra grip winter tires and have 20" chrome
with Pirelli Scorpio zero asymetrico (295/40/20) for summer. They are V marked (240Km/h)
