Has anybody read the honours list, there are a few very worthy people on there, but why on earth do so many people get honours for doing a job they get paid for (very highly) as civil servants.
There is one guy on there for services to central banking, clearly they haven't read the papers

also we have the forum faveourite Lewis Hamilton , exactly so far what has he done to acheive the MBE. It took a while for Mansell to get the OBE, and he got sports personality a few times and was world champ in F1 and Indycar in consecutive years 
Jackie stewart did'nt get his OBE till 2001 either
Maybe Hamilton was awarded this to try n lift the nation in the duldrums, but certainly is'nt worthy of this YET!!!, granted he did well in his 1st two seasons, but there is room for improovement.

I notice a few got gongs for services to the environment, but couldn't find anybody who got one for services to the 4x4 industry 
This honours system becomes more laughable every year but didn't a Labour think tank find a problem with it years ago and then the government proceeded to "FIX" it "Never keep up with the Joneses. Drag'em down to your level. It's cheaper".

They use the same system as Labour for their honours on RRS, Supertrotter started it and is nominated several times
