Anyone had a problem when engaging reverse and pdc bings once then get a constant tone until I either switch pdc off manually or slect forward gear?
I wiped the sensors as they were a bit grimy with all this crap weather but still get the constant tone. Only just started getting this annoying problem today.
Any suggestions would be greatfully received.

Mine has the same problem when its very wet. In the dry, no problems. Will get mine sorted at the next service. There's one wheel on my wagon, but i'm still rollin' along, it's the cherokee, they're after me, but I'm singing a happy song

could be a faulty sensor. try disconnecting them one at a time to see if it goes away.

Had a similar situation just the other week due to the frost.
Poured a jug of warm water over the rear sensors........sorted themselves out.

You didn’t by any chance have the adjustable height tow bar fitted recently did you ??
I ask this, as when I put on the tow bar, my rear PDC went nuts. One of the sensors was angled in such a way as it picked up the tow ball every time I selected reverse

Thanks for the replies guys and no, no new tow bar.
Checked it this morning in the light, no damage and now no continuous tone!
ATM I am assuming it was either a bit of grime on one of the sensors or just "one of those" things. Trouble is I don't know wether to get the stealer to check them or not.

Had this prob with mine after one of the guys at the car wash blasted it with a jet wash, it cleared itself after a couple of weeks but for a few months kept going off every time it rained heavily.
Eventually started working OK and has been ever since. I believe there was a problem with corrosion on some of the original looms but I didn't have any problems with that.
Try a good wash (a hose is OK) and then dry it thoroughly with a hair dryer. .. TDV6 HSE - Light Guards - White Reflective Sticker

Had this problem when the car came back from the stealers last Thursday. They had jet washed the back as it was covered in crap. It cured itself after a few hours. Must be water in the rear sensors....
