Water in fuel message

I have had the water in fuel message in the message box for the passed 4 days

I have drained down the bottom of the fuel filter and i think i drained down about 2 litres of fuel and no water

Took out for run and still message water in fuel

I only had the filter changed on the two year service which was 800 miles ago

I have the little white filter NOT THE BIG SILVER ONE.

Any one had the same fault

I phoned the dealer today and they have ordered a sensor of the monring i will change it my self and give the old one back for them to get under warranty

Its easy for me to do that or you have to book it in or wait for them to fit.

The dealer in canterbury is very good like that to me.

I sometimes wonder at its lack of intelligence Rolling Eyes

Especially when it lowers the suspension

Anyone had the same fault message - I hear it was a common fault on the D2 and was due to a sensor failing rather than water in the fuel.

LRA guy came and drained the water from the fuel filter, then promptly dropped it on my drive!!

Hey presto problem gone - his conclusion was that it was either water introduced when refueling or condensation that had formed in the tank. He was non too informative, and also didnt have many nice words to say about the disco3.co.uk forum!
