I was dreading calling them to book the shed in for a service. Their local reputation is awful and my attempt at buying from them was fraught - dirty stock, no appetite to negotiate and uninterested staff.
However, never one to shy away from a problem , I took a deep breath and called them to make a service booking. An unintelligible, brusque young girl answered my call and then took NINE minutes just to book the car in. She sounded uninterested and bored and there was not a single 'please' or 'thank you' the entire time. I had the distinct feeling that she was doing me a favour.
So having cogitated overnight, I have cancelled it and booked it into Stratstone Cheltenham instead. I should have gone with my first thought.
Nice one Hartwells... Have you ever known a swan to break a man's arm?

It's funny how peoples experience varies. I would sell the D3 rather than use a Stratstones (supplying dealer) again. But have always found Hartwells to be Okay for servicing. Have used them for last 6 years (4 years with a Freelander and the last two with the D3) Today they picked up the D3 for its two year service and had its history with them and took the time to discuss any other issues. So for me Hartwell's are OK.

Or even the same families' experience does...
The last few times I've been in they have been good. Yesterday, my wife took ours in for it's first MOT. She gave then strick instructions not to wash it - I'd spent last Saturday morning cleaning the mud from Salisbury off and was really please with the lack of damage.
5 minutes with a couple of s using a sponge that resembled sandpaper and the car is covered with marks
It was not even dirty
I realise that the request was unusual but why don't they listen?
