£150 to strip, clean, adjust and reassemble. New parts extra!

Just had it done at Taunton Land Rover.

Yeah, its the time of year it seems as ours has started screaming.

Stuck off is bad, but ours got stuck on the other day, on a ramp into a multi-story... which was exciting! Good job I had been reading on here the night before, including the release procedure!

You can try and adjust it on here, there are some instructions somewhere.

If the EPB parts fail would that be under the warranty, I know it doesn't cover adjustments, but failure of parts surely.

Okay, now I am worried and I cannot find the release procedure!

Any chance you can post a link?

Cheers.

The emergency release procedure is in the manual. It involves removing the small panel next to the EPB switch and hooking part of the jack onto a loop and pulling like hell.

Don't know the adjust procedure, but I'm sure someone will post it soon. Thumbs Up

Try holding the EPB button down and turning the ignition on and off 3
or 4 times quickly. It released mine after it had locked up.
Then adjust it before it happens again Smile

I meant what Norto said - its in a post somewhere that you hold the EPB down (release handbrake position) while starting the car and it does some sort of rest that clears the issue.

You can as well pull the emergency cord under the plastic panel behind the EPB lever if that does not work, but I read on hear it can require some effort and as its string something inserted to yank on rather than the string itself.

Ours is booked in for next week...

Haven't had the nerve to try mine since we got back.

Nice to meet you today, shame we didn't get to chat more.

Mine has started taking two pulls to activate fully - I can hear the motor run and it partially engages, then on the second pull it runs again and this time the wheels lock. Do it automatically now. Dealer can't find any fault to fix and have stripped and reassembled........
