Spot Lights
I added the standard Land Rover lights to the A bar when I bought the D3 but to be honest they are a waste of time and are not really adding anything to the light. I do think they look great on the car, but that is not the purpose.
Also - the LR were fitted by LR and have a seperate switch on dash should I decide to switch these off, however the Roo lights have 100W bulbs and I wondered if this would cause any problems with the wiring. ( I think the lightforce use 75W. )
Also - anyone recommend best place to buy
Cheers

If you are gonna use two Light forces 140 you will be disappointed .....again...
Have installed 2x140 LF on Defender....not the "light force" we wanted...
If you go for LF...at least go for the 170 and if you have the space...240.
I myself am not very fond of LF, but thats my
Bet if you take Hella's or Wipac's or IPF's with a 100W bulb, they will give you at least the same if not more in 8"Disco 3 TDV6 Aut. 7 seat, Zambezi silver, Privacy glass, Rosen A9 DVD, Tow-kit, K&N airfilter, Frontrunner Windcheetah + 4xHella Comet 550, tailgate ladder, 5 breaklights , Performance BB6 17" + Duratracs 256/70R17, RLD Skid-plate, Traxide second battery setup, Lightguards, BAS EGR's blank kit, BAS Silicone hose, Black bonnet decal,

I have roolite 180s on mine, look in my gallery...i think they are exellent and give as good a coverage as the lightforces.
TFC fitted mine and adapted the loom that comes with as standard."you cannot teach stupid people to do clever things"

My last D3 had standard halogen headlights + LR spots, with 4 x 140 (75W as standard) LF's on the roof.

Not figured out yet what I will install on my Roofrack...
Anyone experience with Wesem lights?
Week ago installed my Front Runner and I like to add 4 spots on that...
The thing is, how to get the cable hidden till you're under the bonet?
Behind the black window trim and underneath the roof trim...or....?
Since I don't have a snorkel (yet).....

i use the roo lights and have been most impressed by them, they give a great beam of light and have had no flooding problems when wading.
there are more pics in my gallery of them and how they are wired. If in doubt............flat out.

the roo's aren't fixed to the grill but the top of the a-bar, i just fab'd up a bracket to fix with, the same could be done though for the top of the grill.
i bought from cheviot 4x4 they were the best price/shipping/time turn over i could get.
Most garages should be able to get a hold of them though and my gallery also has pick of how i've wired them into my main beam.If in doubt............flat out.

Cheers for the feedback guys -
Looks like I will give them a try - I have the Std LR ones and they look good but don't add any light when on full beam.
Britpart offer these through all dealers but cheviot are still the cheaperest. The question i need answered is will the existing wiring be ok - The lamps were installed by Main dealer when I bought the car - they are 55w lamps = They used the Land rover wiring harness and I don't know what rating the cables are - I can ensure that the fuse is the right rating but will the extra power cause any issues?
