Its well hidden away and the radio fits tightly in the hole ...it cant slide down any more as thats were it tapers ( good measuring on my behalf )
The only other thing i added was a small bit of wood under the back ( power plug side) of the charger to keep it level.
Can be removed ..no one will every see the two bolts stuck under there ..and the little panel can be replaced for a few quid .
Power is going to come from my custom made panel in the rear ( http://www.disco3.co.uk/forum/post386331.html#386331 ) This also has a dual red and green LED fitted to it so it mimics the charger status on the charger ( caus you cant see it hidden under there )G4 Gone ...but not forgotten
Shame you started with the wrong radio The older I get, the more I realise that people confuse wrinkles for wisdom

Another very good looking install
I take it that it will not be charging all the time? Switched when required from the new panel?

Just doing some quick release brackets for a couple of work lamps ...to fit in the roof rails on the roof .
Also to use for lighting up the camping area ..got some LED bulbs for them ..but not overly impressed with the brightness ...but will last for a long time on the second batteryG4 Gone ...but not forgotten
