A relative has kindly offered to buy me a new set of axle stands for Christmas to replace the ones I use on my D1. These aren't high enough for the D3.
To save me going out with a jack and tape measure, can someone confirm the minimum height for the new stands. Recommendations as to which stands and 'from where' would also assist.

I got the 6tonne ones from screwfix. Very sturdy & collapse the leggs when storing. No problem with height on them. Bodsys Brake Bible

Just checked the current Screwfix catalogue and they only list 2 or 3 tonne.
Is it the 3 tonne ones you have Bodsy? Height stated as 300 - 430mm

They look pretty meaty John and raise to a good height too!
Meant to ask you what tyres you were planning on using for LRE Snowdonia

yup the axle stands work well - saved my air compressor from destruction when the trolley jack failed on me
tyres for Snowdonia will be AT2's (cos they're the only off-roaders I've got )
