Any views on a realistic cost level for franchised dealer to carry out 4 year service (apparently it is known as a 60k mile service even though car only done 30k+ miles) and what items (should ) get dealt with by them in this service?

I think you either get an A or B service (minor / major). My 60k service was c. £300 from Shields 2 months ago.Sail Fast - Live Slow...

Got a quote from MacRae & Disk for the 45k service of £300, told them I had a quote for £240 and they matched it. Might be worth doing a bit of haggling over their standard price and a trip to Inverness.
Aberdeen dealer is quoting over £450 (I assume it is a major service being the 4 year one)

My father just had his 54 plate serviced and the local franchise used their common sense and
ajusted the price accordingly, as his is sitting at 27k.
So deffo shop around or look for someone to play the game.

Mine is due the 2nd annual service.... I assume the servicing interval is light/heavy, with the light service being in year 1,3,5,7 and the heavy service due in year 2,4,6,8 etc...Am I correct/ for info I've been quoted £458 by a Hertfordshirre dealer for year 2 service? Is this a good price in the opinion of members?D3 HSE, Stornoway grey, 2007 MY, side steps, privacy glass, door protection strips.

Ecosse give Frank ogg in Elgin a call, they will pick the car up and bring it back. Its not the height of the fall but the sudden stop at the bottom that hurts!!

The local Hertfordshire dealer price matched the cheapest price I could find, saving me nearly £80 on their original quote. They get the cat tomorrow for the service.D3 HSE, Stornoway grey, 2007 MY, side steps, privacy glass, door protection strips.
