Oil Dip stick Level

Hi Guys/Girls, just checked me beauty ahead of a trip to Scotland via leeds tomorrow, the dip stick level I need to clarify.

In the destruction manual it shows a picy of two styles, mines the knobbly one. The level is just above the last knobbly one towards the bottom and it says that if the level to toward the end market, then add 1 litre, but on the dipstick it does not indicate what is the top, thus not sure where we should, if needed, fill him up to.

Surely the top knobbly is not the full indicator is it, coz it will drown the bloddy thing Rolling with laughter

I hasten to add, he's not moved at all today, so cold, very cold when I checked a few mins ago.

If anyone's got a scanner and can indicate on the diagram where it should be or just confirm which knobbly from the bottom normal level should be, that would put me mind at rest!! Laughing

If you've got this type 4th one up is the max fill one, not the one on it's own

If it's on the bottom one I'd add half a litre and check it before adding any more

I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Character, if mines anything too go by, then if you drag out your trusty electron microscope and focus it on lump number four; you'll find a small arrow pressed into the plastic, almost at subatomic level.

Apparently it's been placed there for some arcane ritual - I just haven't figured out what yet Rolling Eyes

Probably the most irritating thing about a bloody good engine - can you believe somebody was paid to redesign a simple metal bar with easily read marks, into a plastic disaster that's impossible to figure out.

There cannot be a good reason for it Twisted Evil

What a co-incidence, my seismic ground penetrating radar picked up one at the opposite end on lump no. 1, pointing the other way..................do you think they're meant to indicate min and max levels?????

Nah, if that were so, they'd have made it bl**dy obvious rather than having it in braille Twisted Evil Twisted Evil Twisted Evil
