Every now and then for no unknown reason whilst driving my car will go "ding" there are no other warning, sometimes it happens once sometimes twice and then that's it. It's not the parking sensors or the seatbelt warning or any other warning for that matter just the odd now and then ding
Any one else got this problem?

It may even be your speed warning which is in the dash settings

I agree with the frost warning... Happens to me regurlarly when switching from "frost" (+4°C) to "non frost" (+5°C and above...)
Regularly frightening too !

Interesting Gurvan, mine does not do that. It chimes once only.

Me too... It chimes only once... But each time the external temp is switching from +4° to +5° and vice-versa...
If I am driving down a street where there are patches of sunny areas and colder one, then I can get the chime regularly...

The ice warning will bong once if the temp is below 4 degrees at startup, or if the temp drops below 4 degrees whilst running. A frost symbol will flash next to the temp reading in place of the normal letters "EXT"
The frost symbol will not go away until the temp rises above 6 degrees. It will only bong again if the temp goes above 6 and then back down below 4 in the same ignition cycle.

Global warming might mean local glaciation... Thus, yes, i guess those bings and bongs might be needed...
Mine seems to bong at 5°C... But I might be mistaken !

Found this post covering what I was looking for...ain't search great?!
Is there anyway of turning the temperature warning chimes off?
Mine appears to chime everytime it records a new temperature under 5degrees. It gets really annoying when the temperature hoovers between 3 and 4 degrees - ding, ding, ding, ding, ding etc.

I'd pretty much come to the same conclusion that it was temperature related and frost related.
However it happend to my car when the dash was indicating about +9 or 10 on the way home last night.
The other annoying thing was sitting in a traffic jam and my front parking sensors were beeping away because of the vibration from a bus which was stationary in a bus stop to my near side.

If it's the temperature chime then a little snowflake symbol appears next to the temp display in the dash ...ISTR the snowflake flashes a few times as the chime occurs 21 year LR veteran > D2 GS 2003 > D3 S 2006 > D3 HSE 2009 > D4 HSE 2013 > D4 HSE 2015 > D5 HSE 2018 > DS HSE R-Dynamic P300e 2021

Only wau I know to turn it off is to get a newer D3... the MY08 does not bong only shows the frost symbol.
