19inch rims...and Q's
Hi there new 2005 D3 owner but LR for 11 years now
What price for 19inch D3 rims ? Agent quoted me R6500.00 - I would like a 2nd spare but sjoe
I also need to fit an - EBC - Electronic brake controller - to my D3. It regulates the brakes on my US offroad trailer/camper - did them on the Disco1 and Syncro - but LR might have warrantee problems.
It is reletive easy fit - 4 wires + , NG , brakelight switch , trailer plug
In the US they have a plug-in on the D3 for these ? I think ? as it is the standard brakes for heavy trailers (750kg+) in most other parts of the world.
I know of at least 1 owner who did install in SA in both D3 and RR ...
Who do you recommend and maybe if the LR guys or listening can they help...

Welcome Nico - Don't let Deon's sunny disposition bother you - LRSA aren't his favourite people at the moment .
I have 2 plug connectors on my car - the standard black one and also a white one. Apparently the white one is for the EBC. Not sure if this is an optional thing or standard . Either way though you should be able to retrofit it

Not all doom and gloom - at least I got a new (upgraded!) hooter fitted and car wash for the two days
Best service I got is from PG Glass who phoned me out of the blue wanting to know if they can fix a nasty chip on the windscreen. Apparently they have a rep on site at Midrand LR. Chip fixed - they sorted with my insurance company - job done. Erstwhile - D3 S '07. Dual battery system. Upgraded tow hitch. Mantec skid plate. Frontrunner rr. Tmax double headed built in compressor

Tx so-far
No ideas re the 19inch rims...
The white plug is thr UK spec on so yes on could use that one but the black one is just fed from the white one....and as far as I can get info the pin no5 is power in the UK empty in SA and should be the brake one in my case...
Alsop have a chip - will sort out with Glass-fitt Menlyn and report..Nico

If that is the price for one rim, I have 10 I could sell at half price FOB. Why is the fear of long words called hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia?
