I have recently had my D3 remapped, but I am a bit worried as when the car is in for its next service will LR reset the car to its original factory based settings? This will be the 1st service its had with my ownership as I have only owned the vehicle for about 6 months, so not sure what to expect.

You're in Northants with a 2005 remapped car.
Why not use Iain - 10forcash to do the servicing? Then you know it won't get written over and you'll save a few quid too  "To finish first, one first has to finish ...."

I like the Idea of saving a bit of money and getting 10forcash to service the D3, but I also want to keep the service history book stamped with LR, as its always easier to sell the car with FSH. I dont think the company that remapped my car would remap it again for free as they are mobile and it would cost them to visiit me, so if I were to get LR to service my D3 do I tell them its been remapped and to make sure that they don't reset the ECU

Warranty or Not Iain (10forcash) completes the service using OEM parts from LR. Therefore as it is serviced to spec and with parts then your warranty / service record are considered complete.
Don't be a victim of "FLRSH" to gain about 50p on the value of your car. Iain actually does more than the schedule so you will be more than happy.
You will save more in fuel too, as he does it at your home, office, place of work - shame I'm not on the payroll  "To finish first, one first has to finish ...."

My wifes car is still under the 3 year LR warranty, and on the basis of what I've read on here and my experience of the  spoken by some LR service depts I have no qualms whatsoever about using 10forcash tomorrow for the 45K service.
