Anyone had a wrap - Yes I did say Wrap not cr*p |
|
Hi
I have been considering getting the front bumper/spoiler/bonnet and bootlid of my D3 wrapped by a signwriting company, and wondered if anyone has had it done. Its basically a film they print and shrinkwrap onto the panels of your vehicle to allow you to have logos, photos and stuff applied without having to stick it directly to the paintwork, as its basically a film that wraps the panels you can have it removed when you are up for a change.
Just wondered if anyone has had any experience of it
Cheers

Speak to me . . .
It's what Ben who did all of the tints does. (recent group buy) He runs the Midlands branch of totally dynamic with a guy called Chris. http://www.totally-dynamic.co.uk/go/viewRe...urceID/200
Somebody (Ken ) will be along shortly to confirm that there are many, many types of wrap material. Long lasting laminated stuff and less durable stuff.
Ben also does a paint protection film that I am considering letting him do to mine as a trial. "To finish first, one first has to finish ...."

a decent graphic designer will be able to sort out the overall impression, then they will pass the Quark file on to the graphics company to print up and apply.
I had a Renault Kangoo van done a few years ago, completely "add wrapped" looked the dogs do do's, cost me around £1000.
I would'nt necessarily get the graphics company to design the wrap, best off keeping the design element separate and for those who know how to project the right message.

Yep I can point you in the right direction to quite a few wrapping companies but agree with 90BHP the companies I use are very big but have offered no support to this forum
Ben on the other hand has so support him
Only advice I'd give is if the wrap involves stretching & heat the picture should not be screen printed onto the first layer
