Skid Plates and Front Tow Hook

Anyone have front of rear skid plates installed? I could envision one mounting with spare tire formed to fit over it and covering exhaust also? Also anyone used Front tow hook? Is it strong enough to pull with?

I've got the front sump guard (pictures in my gallery), it should be generally available from LR at some point soon. Not aware of a rear one being available yet.

If you mean tha front recovery point yes is it strong enough to pull with, as is the rear one, but I wouldn't advise using either one to snatch The End

What would you snatch from? If not the front or back tow hook?

I wouldn't from anything on the D3 as standard.

Snatching would really have to be a last resort, try and dig/winch/pull/jack it out first. Snatching it something that should be reserved for vehicles with recovery points designed for the job The End

Agree with Slimer here... but one thing to note.

I read this in Autocar (Steve Croply) quoting a LR guy...

The hooks and chassis are so strong you can hang a D3 from the front hook and hang another one from the rear !!!
