Low battery and diff change

On my my 2005 HSE i have experienced that battery goes down if the car is not locked. After 24 hours unlocked its almost impossible to start due to low battery. All the electronics must then be in awake mode using lot of power when its unlocked ?
At the same time with low power i always get fault on the HDC system and sometimes air susp fault (you cant adjust the hight until the power is on top again), that takes only 2 minutes.
My back diff was changed at 55.000 km 50% covered by LR. And the fuel consumption is now 0.84 l pr. km long distance and before 0.97 ???????? Diff was change due to high frequenze noise but very difficult to hear.
Still a good car, the problem is know how and experience in the workshops.

AFAIK the car will go to sleep after you remove the key from the ignition , wether it is locked or not .

Hi,

Yes, it should be all inactive after about 30 minutes. There may be another problem.

Could just be battery aged in cold conditions, holding only a small charge rather than full capacity, a visit to the auto electricians to check the battery is a good idea.

All the best

A healthy battery should hold a charge overnight of 12.6 V . I suggest you test your battery first thing , before you wake the car up . ie leave it overnight with the bonnet open and see what voltage you get .
