How to change the CC accelerator switch on the wheel?
The accelerator switch on my wheel has flaws causing the CC to switch off and stay off. Its not under warranty so I thought changing it myself. Is this difficult and does it involve taking out the airbag as well?
All instructions welcome
Oh, and although it is out of warranty, I think it may be worthwhile contacting your dealer to check to see if the work to replace the coupler has already been done as per that bulletin. If it hasn't you may have a case for them doing the work anyway I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

Already had the rotary coupler fixed under warranty. First day it looked fine but then I got the same symptons again and it got to a point the CC didn't worked at all.
Brought the car to the dealer last Tuesday. They tested the wiring and said it was fixed. Its much better now but the CC still switches off every now and then. Only when I turn off the ignotion it comes back on again.
Called the dealer to tell them that the CC bug is still there and now they advise to change the +/- switch.
In that case, look at the thread on changing your steering wheel
You'll need to disconnect the battery for 15 minutes or so before you remove the airbag, then you can remove the steering wheel and access the buttons.

Yeah thanks! Already looked at that thread but it doenst show how the buttons itself are removed. Wasn't sure if I needed to remove the airbag when I want to change the switch.
Yup, you'll need to do the battery, pull the airbag and then you can get to the switches. They're connected to the black plastic cowling on the reverse of the steering wheel. You'll need a T25 torx key to remove them
