Breaking into a Disco3

After shopping I found that one of my number plate lights where you open the back boot had been removed. They had forced it out and broke the clip in the process. Is there a way that one can open the boot from behind the light.

No, but perhaps they didn't know that. On some cars removing the light leaves a light-sized hole in the body. With a rear light the size of the D3 such a hole would be big enough to slip some scrote of a kid into the car. I'm sure they were chuffed when they met a load of metal and grommets instead. Only thing there is the release wiring. Given the way the locking works, can't see how accessing that will make the slightest difference.

Alfwarez, if there are no other signs of damaged I'd put it down to the light's clip having cracked and broken through fatigue - it happen with mine very early on and was though to have been theresult of too push mussle when being fitted in the factory - I had it replaced 2 years ago and not had a problem since.
LRs are a fond memory, apart from the maintenance.

Me too - I followed ND's (wrong) thread graphically in my mind.. Internally fuming at the cheek of the little Censored 's. Of COURSE!! you can probably get into some car boots through their steadily enlarging lights - I'd just never thought about it. Confused Maybe it's because I've never wanted to get in someone else's boot enough Whistle
2006 D3 finally swapped for a 2016 D4 Graphite in Graphite grey. No mods
