I am about to order a new Disco3. Should I go for the moonroof? Except for the
leaks, are there other problems (rattles etc)?
Any difference in interior noiselevel between cars with and without moonroof?
Thanks,
Bontempi

I have a SE without one. I thought it would be too dark inside (with a black interior) but it is fine. However I did try I HSE with one on a very sunny day, with the sun high in the sky, but I found even with the blinds shut the sun shone straight on your head. This put me off. So it is horses for courses really, a bit lighter interior for almost all the time, or perhaps too hot for a few days a year, or your fortnight in France. I have an HSE with it and my parents an SE without. I can't say it makes that much difference, I usually have the blinds shut, but it does give a nice feel, I would have it as part of the upgrade over an SE but only if the other bits make sense. DS3 TDV6 HSE - Silver with Alpaca (old one) Gone

We have one on our D3. It effectively feels like you have thre seperate sunrooffs (front, middle and back) but the middle and back one's don't open. The glass is quite darkly tinted so there isn't actually a great deal of light coming through them. All in all I would describe them as nice to have but certainly not essential - probably on balance not worth the extra money.... Disco 4 TDV6HSE

I've an HSE with the moon-roof. It does brighten up the interior, and I did not notice the sun causing any problems in the summer.
I suppose one advantage is less paint to scratch on overhanging trees, and bird s**t won't damage it

Do you not have a sun roof? the moon roof is all glass on the outside, but it just looks like 3 sunroofs from the inside.

I think that settles it. There are several maple trees in my garden, and they are home to thousands of birds...

My seats are fine... not a problem driving 600 miles, no aches or pains at all.
Agree the SE, HSE seats are superior (expect that) but the 'S' seats are good - could be improved - but not as bad as some make out.
