T & C Aberdeen-This is going to be predictable!

Following the recent problems with our side protectors, see here, we took our car to Town and County Aberdeen. When they rang up to say the car was 'finished' they also said that some paint had come off and it would have to go to Kinghorn body shop. So, my dad went to pick up the car and was appalled that the door was bent outwards, instead of being dented. To top it all off, the side protectors have been put on f Censored king squint!

Apologies in advance for picture quality, not much space in the car port!

A truely craptacular image here, sorry about the focus!

Look how much the front one sticks out!

Anyway, my dad drove over to Kinghorn and had a word with them. They said that they would have to start again, sort the dent out properly, spray the area where the paint chipped off and fit new side protectors. Fair enough, Kinghorn actual have a reputation for not f Censored king up!

Can't wait for the customer survey to come through, may have to beg dad to let me fill it in this time... Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

BTW Nick, Town and County apparently have 100 sets of side protectors in stock, seems they are not shifting them to well, I wonder why! Whistle

When I had my side protectors put on, the near side were so cockeyed it looked like someone had drawn a smile on the side of the D3. They got them off and put them back properly with no problem though!!

Hope you have a happy outcome Mav.

What dealer did you use? Really don't seem to be having much luck with the dealers up here! Rolling Eyes

It wasn't a LR Dealer... It was a local garage I do some work for.

It just really annoys the heck out of me! I mean, sure the cars have a few small problems (but what else would you expect from a Land Rover, just part of the experience) but for the car, and the customer basically, to be treated like s Censored t when you need your car sorted. Evil or Very Mad Evil or Very Mad

Your lucky down there, if a dealer does a crap job then there's another one not to far away. The next closest dealer for us is 50 miles, or usually over an hour away because the road isn't a dual carriageway, when it really should be as its the main transport route between Aberdeen and Inverness! Evil or Very Mad

Last time, with the old D3 we spent four hours in the showroom for an update to be done, no loan car and basically no contact between us and customer service/workshop! We where so bored that we went to the Halfrauds down the road, and that's desperate!!

RANT OFF, for now!
