Steering Wheel Radio & Cruise Control |
|
Hello, i'm a new member to this forum.
Has anyone got advice for installing cruise control and the radio contols on the steering wheel, (i've seen the instructions by alinton on how to fit the modules). I am also interested in installing the auxilary input for an i-pod at the rear of the centre console, Any suggestions would be most welcome

Hi M8 Welcome to the forum!!!
Best advice is take your time - its an easy job particularly with the instructions you mention. Keep your nerve when handling the airbag module and try not to press the horn buttons while you are doing it as it gives you heart failure as several of us on here have had!!!.
Remember that the audio switch module will work as soon as you connect it but cruise control will need enabling (LR dealers will not do this for you) -Mail TFC and arrange him to do it,5 minute job with his gizmo.
Whilst you got it apart you might want to change the steering wheel for a leather one if you have not already go one, with the airbag out and the switches off you would be already half way there. Changing the steering wheel is also very easy.
Any problems give me a shout.
