The optima group buy...
Posted by Bodsy in thread, looking to move stuff north/south
D3 Courier Service Required...
OK, so we've done the easy bit, now we need to sort out the logistics....
TFC has all the batteries & will be going to Ken's next Monday, potentially to drop off some of the southern batteries.
Nick has the clamps & can take to the Yeovil Area Meet next Tuesday. Is anyone from the Yeovil Meet, going north or meeting up with TFC later next week?
Gilmore will collect battery from TFC for myself & hopefully will pick up some of the Traxide Units from me
Meets that I know of for potential swap over (depending on receipt date for Traxide units)
3rd June - Yeovil Meet (for Clamps from Nick)
7th June - Me and Gilmor fitting (hopefully) traxide units & Battery
8th June - Tong
9th June Northern Meet
24th June Southern Meet
SOOOOO, Who can help & who's going to which meeting so we can try to get this sorted for everyone Thumbs Up
They've just called my plane, so could I ask someone to post this in the relevant meet sections and also in the D3 courier services section.... Wink
CheersDisco3 is now gone but not forgotten. Waiting for Disco6 with full aluminium construction weight reduction and hybrid engine...

Right, there's a target, so now where's the payload coming from?
Pickup either on the route (Tamworth, Stafford/Stoke), drop off at my domain, or pickup local to Tamworth (M42 or M6 services, dark nights, funny coats..... and NO carnations in button holes)Rob Smith

I've just has a (tiny) brainwave. I've looked at the Tong signup for the 8th. Andrew A is signed up for Tong.
He's showing on the disco3 members map as being in Nottingham. When I come back from Bodsy's on Saturday I can deliver any Tong-bound stuff to him. He can bring it up to Tong on Sunday.
Right, that's got potential. I've just PMed him. Anyone know him? Looks like he lives about 1 mile from me

OK folks, Andrew A has agreed to take batteries etc from me to Tong. Thanks Andrew
Who in the Optima Group Buy is going to Tong, or knows somebody going to Tong who can take delivery of their stuff?
If you want to see who's going to Tong, have a look at the signup:

Is that all the Tonguers?
You want to be careful, that could easily be mis-construed....
Thanks for joining this up Rob
I think the only outstanding bit in that now is confirmation of AndrewW and Tintenter collection from Tong (or connected to someone 'up norf'. BCB will confirm later this week if he can or can't do the bit to the Northern Meet as I think Tintenter will be going there & TT & AW both live close to each other so I'll make the assumptions they can meet up with each other.
If not, perhaps Ent can hold (via Ave) if he passes Oldham direction (or the others pass Accrington direction?)
Looks like it's all coming together.
Thanks everyone for your support in the D3 Courier & to Rob (Gilmore) as without him, the batteries would still be stuck in Derby..... Bodsys Brake Bible

Well I think that just about completes the transaction... Only need to sort out the Traxide units going south in time for the Southern meet, but I'm in Heathrow 16/17th, so I'm sure there'll be someone down that way for the final Traxide units for me to meet up with.
Big slap on the back to everyone for getting this organised .Bodsys Brake Bible
