Nav voice guidance volume

Does anyone know how to adjust the volume offset for the voice guidance, please? (i.e. how much louder than the radio/CD she speaks)

I'm sure I've adjusted it before, but now I can't find it in the manual, nor in a search on here.

I tried that, but she doesn't stay at that volume. She comes back just as loud as before the next time round!

From another post:

You can also set the 'off-set' volume for nav, phone, voice by pressing and holding the left hand radio menu button when the car is stationary. This controls how much louder than the audio volume the nav voice comes in at.

I know how to do it but I can't quite picture it at my desk. I'll look again when I get into the car.

its in the audio setting menu, after bass and treble and the like, either that or you hold down the audio setting menu and there is a second menu, definetly on the radio somewhere with nav, voice guidance etc levels...
Disco3 is now gone but not forgotten. Waiting for Disco6 with full aluminium construction weight reduction and hybrid engine...

"Automatic volume control"
ie. everything gets louder the faster you drive...
(just like SHMBO)
You can set the offset, or amount it increases.
(unlike SHMBO)

That's what I thought, but I haven't found it yet. When the D3 gets home I'll try holding the menu button down, etc.

Thanks for all the suggestions!

If audio is not on when she is guiding you (from my experience) then she will be set against the last volume used on audio. I listen to 5Live (am) radio sometimes which requires higher volume level than CDs/FM/iPod in my D3 so she is VERY LOUD if guiding after having previously had the radio on. I usually turn the radio back on quickly lower the radio volume and switch off, her volume is then acceptable. This way keeps my preferred setting of +2 to the majority of non radio/am stuff I listen to.

Hope that makes sense!
 ALTERNATIVES...............No alternatives for off-road capability.
If you want Surrey plush, go for a Range Rover. If you want Manchester bling it's the Range Rover Sport. But if it's a seven-seat, go anywhere 4x4, it's time to Disco.

Thanks very much, as I said before, for the suggestions. It was indeed the "hold down the audio setting menu button". However, the offset was set low. It was the AVC which was high. Since the D3 is pretty quiet, even at high Whistle speeds, I have reduced this to see if it solves the problem. Maybe "off" is better Heine!
