Front towbar receiver
Having 'got by' with using a towball bolted to a bucket on our mini-digger to move trailers around I'm now looking to upgrade the D4 with a front mounted towbar receiver. I know that Watling Engineers used to make such a thing but think they no longer exist.
Does anyone by chance have a Watling unit they don't need, or know of another manufacturer or supplier who makes something similar? I think Warn used to, but can't anything on the web.

sounds like i don't need to tell you but just be careful with a front hitch moving a loaded trailer that's nose heavy as you put a big load on the steering gear which can blow the p/s hydraulics and the suspension air bags please excuse any grammer/punctuation mistakes,i'm thick,thankyou

Mike - as I suspect you are aware we could design and fabricate this ourselves, but I would prefer to have something that is 'type approved' just in case......
Eightfoot - the Watling units were rated to 3,500kg with a noseweight of 250kg. Our larger trailers are all double axle and usually have a noseweight of much less than this.
What I omitted from my original post - The catalyst to me trying to make this move is that I would also like to be able to use a receiver mounted winch (front and rear), not just for moving trailers around with a towbar. I have designed a front mounted tow bar, using a Thule quick release ball and receiver. But like most of my projects, I didn't get around to making it yet! Richard

Watlington made two different front receiver hitch, a light duty one and a heavy duty one.
I have a heavy duty one sat in my lockup, with minimal usage. Would just need to check it first.Flat Dog Roof Rack & Prospeed Ladder
