Electric seat wiring

Good evening all had my D3 a few months now and noticed the drivers heated seat does not get warm, I've checked fuses and it does light up on heating controlls but at a quick glance I've noticed their is a small black plastic plug under the seat which has nothing plugged into it is this right or could this bee the problem

I can't say for sure about the plug, but the elements are prone to burning out. Do a search there are plenty of threads on how to test, repair or replace.

If you take the seat swab cover off you'll probably see some scorch marks where the element has burnt. Repaired my heater element and shielded it with shrink tubing where it shorts out on the metal rod in the base cover. You can solder the heater element, just make sure the wire is really clean.
