Discovery 4 door seals

I have a wet driver' footwell (sunroof drain all working well).

If I pour water down the outside of the A pillar, the water can been seen dripping from behind the interior black plastic trim below the A pillar at the bottom of the dash moulding.

I have had a poke around and have a question about the door seal that is attached to the vehicle as there seems to be some distortion as shown in the photos. Both sides are similar so it might be normal, but I wondered if anyone could confirm whether I should be concerned by this as the source of the leak.

Hello,

This looks the same as mine. I would get a rag and clean the narrow part. This tends to fill up with dirt.

Thank you both. That eliminates that cause of the leakage. I have shifted that muck in the channel.

Depending where you are pouring the water but the gutter in the roof can start to leak
