Dunlop Compressor Air Dryer - Same as Hitachi dryer?

I fitted a dunlop compressor in 2019.

Dryer just split open.

Replacement dryer units are all sold as Hitachi, are they the same does anyone know?

Think I will have to purchase a standard Hitachi style replacement and give it a try on the Dunlop. New Engine - Fitted with body on...

Take the compressor off and check, i believe some parts may fit if you are lucky.

They appear identical, the caps swap straight over, however the connection point onto the compressor is smaller bore on the Hitachi filter. Everything else is spot on.

Damn............

So no filters avaialbe if you run a Dunlop compressor. Replace the whole unit again it appears?

So to conclude.

Dunlop do not sell spares for their compressors to anyone. Only whole units.

Knowing this now, and with no availability for Dunlop specific aftermarket spares, only Hitachi, i wouldnt buy another Dunlop.

So, to get it back on the road and not spend out on a whole new compressor when its not needed, i had to modify the Hitachi replacement filter unit. Not a nice job, milled out the bores on the housing and then when it finally goes on, the mounting hole doesnt line up so had to make a spacer. And then there is the question of how long it will last, lets see. New Engine - Fitted with body on...

Hitachi dont sell spares either, they are all aftermarket.

The drier yes but everything else like cylinders,pistons, rebuild kits etc are 3rd party.
If you search there are similar parts for the dunlop but not as many.
