Replacing Heater Blower Motor Resistor - How? |
|
I'm trying to replace the heater blower motor resistor on my disco and I can't work out how to access the old one. I've dropped down the lower glove box and can see the old one but the space is too tight to get the screws out.
The YouTube video I watched had the panel beneath the glove box removed which allowed another part - a tube that I can't remember the name of - to drop down and then the resistor could be accessed. But I can't work out how to remove this panel. Is it a case of pulling off the panels around the sides of the footwell and then this will be removable? I can't figure out how to do that. I'm possibly being too cautious as I don't want to snap any fixings. Any help would be hugely appreciated as it's driving me crazy.
Thanks

I think there are 2 or 3 screws, that you undo half a turn. Then yank it down.
Refitting it is the worse bit
There maybe a footwell light you need to unplug

Thank you! I’ve managed to remove it. Not looking forward to putting it back!

Wierdest fault ever I was sat at some traffic lights and then the blower suddenly goes full blast frightened me an the wife to death.
Changing the restor is easy but removing that panel is a pig.
