Range Rover digital lcd instrument cluster retrofit
Found a few of these on YouTube etc but carnt find any info anywhere how hard this retrofit is

There are a few different ones
On you tube and I was looking at the connections on the back of one and there the same as a d4 ??

Would be an awesome retrofit but think I would be too scared to look up the price for the unit

But it had a pic of a RRFF on the display not a D4 - dont want it

I've seen this video before and I just don't buy it!
Look closely - the cluster surround is different for one- the vid goes from showing a D4 outside to quickly changing to a RR TFT interior.

The interior is a LHD D4, just had a look. The vent on top of the dash threw me for a second, but as it is LHD, it made sense. Quite interesting alright. The FFRR splash top pic is a pity.

Agree. If you watch the first 10 seconds slowly you can see the background matched as they enter the car so no swap out!!
I'd love this even if only for the 4x4 display!! I wouldn't have to think about replacing the headunit with something that runs Android and is Carplay compatible, (Yes I know how mixed up that sounds).!!
I know why but it still amazes me that you can't just hack into these displays and change graphics, inject other video streams easily. Its only a computer after all.

I spoke to the bloke and he needs both eeprom 24c16 data from both clusters to recode the new
One to
Work in my car
now I know from reading on google this chip holds the millage and can also hold imobilizer codes as well as vin number off car but not 💯 as it’s not been done much so not a lot of info around
On it
He said all the connection plug at the back is the
Same and both clusters have this same chip
New Cluster part number is ah42-10849

Intrigued!! Do you get all the same info as on the original Disco unit?
Do keep us informed. I'd be tempted especially if there is some hacking potential to change the graphics!

So there must be some ccf settings that get changed
