High pitch whistling, reverse dip mirrors and charging

I experienced an odd issue today when accelarating hard - there was a high pitched whistle from the speakers (it definitely wasn't the turbo). Sometimes when I unlock the car and open the door I get a pop from the speakers as well. I've done some research on it, but found no conclusive answers.

Also, my reverse dip mirror on the passenger side does the complete opposite and tilts up! Possible wiring issue?

Finally, the car seems to charge the battery more on short journeys. If you do a long journey and switch the vehicle off, the voltage reading is generally lower than if you've done a short journey. When I started the car this morning it dropped to 9.9 volts, which I really do think is far too low - even for a cold start.

Did your car have accident repairs in recent years ?
Poorly re-attached earth straps (while re-assembling) can lead to various weird, inconsistent and creeping electical hiccups & behaviours.
(That might not account for the mirror malfunction though !!)
Also, do check for wet footwells (esp. front).
Cheers & good luck Smile))
